Congratulations to Dr. Craig Yunk for receiving the Guardian of the Mission Award at the 2026 All Faculty Meeting and Reception at Leu Gardens on September 24th, 2025. This award is given to the faculty that most exemplifies the Mission Statement of the College of Medicine:

The Florida State University College of Medicine will educate and develop exemplary physicians who practice patient-centered health care, discover and advance knowledge, and are responsive to community needs, especially through service to elder, rural, minority, and underserved populations.

Dr McLeod presented Emergency Medicine Dr Stephanie Taunton with the Outstanding Educator Award at the 2025 All Faculty Meeting held at the Museum of Commerce.

We celebrated our 25th Anniversary of our medical school at our All Faculty dinner last night. Additionally, we honored Dr. Patrick Hawkins with the Mission Educator Award and Dr. Eugene Sun, with the Outstanding Clinical Faculty Award.

The Seminole Club of Naples volunteered their time at the Immokalee Health Education Site in honor of Seminole Service Day.

The FSUCOM Clinical Health Psychology Postdoctoral Program has joined forces with Lee Health in Ft. Myers to expand the program in an effort to grow the health psychology workforce in Southwest Florida.

Dr. Natalie Rivera received the Mission Award upon completion of the Health Psychology Postdoctoral program in August.

The Immokalee campus hosted the 1st Annual Symposium on Integrated Care: Spirituality & Medicine on April 6-7, 2018.
