The top two Faculty winners of the 2026 Daniel Van Durme Humanism in Medicine Essay Contest are from Pensacola. Rayme Edler, MD, a Clerkship Faculty at the Pensacola campus, won 1st Place and Erica Warkus, MD, PhD of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program of Pensacola placed 2nd. The winning essays will be published in the Summer 2026 digital issue of HEAL and in print Volume 17 next March. Congratulations to our faculty!
