Medical Students

We are pleased to offer a limited number of externships/sub-internships to active fourth-year medical students who are graduating from a U.S.-accredited medical school.

Curriculum and Experience 
Students will have the opportunity to work alongside our residents and faculty in both inpatient and outpatient settings. 
Additional experience in inpatient, obstetrics and procedures can be arranged depending on the student’s interest. Rotations are available.

Requirements 
Students must be a fourth-year medical student in good standing with a U.S.-accredited medical school. We do not offer observerships or externships for non-US students/graduates. The rotation will be contingent upon executing an affiliation agreement between Lee Health and the student’s medical school.

Additional credentialing paperwork will be required prior to the rotation’s start date.

Additional credentialing and compliance paperwork is required before the start of the medical student rotation.

Please submit an email request to the graduate student coordinator for Lee Health, Shannon Casey (Shannon.casey@leehealth.org)   Once reviewed, you will be contacted to complete a required application form and provide: 

• A current CV 

• Verification of immunizations and other required health documents 

• Any additional documentation requested by Lee Health
