The Department of Clinical Sciences (DOCS) at the FSU College of Medicine encompasses several clinical disciplines and is comprised of faculty from specialties including emergency medicine, internal medicine, neurology, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics, psychiatry, and surgery.

The faculty work together as members of a cohesive unit to establish educational goals, plan course content, teach, and conduct research and fulfill the College of Medicine's vision to prepare compassionate, well-rounded physicians.

American Medical Association/Florida Medical Association
The AMA/FMA Interest Group plays an active role in shaping the future of medicine. Advisor: Robert Watson, M.D.

Business and Medicine
The Business and Medicine Interest Group educates students about practical and financial aspects of working in the medical field in the 21st century. Advisor: Michael Sweeney, M.D.

Cardiology 
The Cardiology Interest Group promotes an interest and understanding of cardiac medicine at the FSU College of Medicine. Advisor: Michael Sweeney, M.D.

Internal Medicine
The Internal Medicine Interest Group works to promote interest, education and participation in the medical specialty of internal medicine. Advisors: Jonathan Appelbaum, M.D. and Irene Alexandraki, M.D.

Obstetrics/Gynecology
The Obstetrics and Gynecology Interest Group is dedicated to helping students gain an understanding of what is involved in a career in OB/GYN and connects students to educational, community service and legislative activities of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Pediatrics
The Pediatrics Interest Group serves the pediatric community and promotes interest in pediatrics at the College of Medicine.

PRIDE in Healthcare
Promoting Recognition of Identity, Dignity, & Equality (PRIDE) Interest Group provides support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LBGTQ) students and the community.

Surgery & Anesthesiology
The Surgery and Anesthesiology Interest Group allows students to experience and gain interest in the surgical field through shadowing current physicians, learning about career paths and understanding/practicing skills needed in the operating room. Advisor: Michael Sweeney, M.D.
