Curriculum

One (1) year fellowship split into:

Fellow in Egypt
While in Egypt, fellow enjoys time with family

 

  • Up to 6 months at international training site
  • Remainder of time spent in Fort Myers fulfilling part-time junior faculty role including:
    • Inpatient
    • Outpatient (precepting residents and personal clinic)
    • OB (if desired)
    • Global health lectures
    • Assisting with Point-of-Care Ultrasound Workshops
  • Schedule allows for flexibility and protected learning time for:
    • Faculty development
    • Tropical medicine
    • Point-of-Care Ultrasound (multiple handheld devices available)
    • Language skills
    • Care of migrant farmworker population in Immokalee, Florida
    • HIV / HEP C / PreP
    • Opportunities for research and scholarly activity
