Curriculum
One (1) year fellowship split into:

- Up to 6 months at international training sites divided into 2-3 month blocks. Fellows in the past have traveled to Honduras, Egypt, Kenya, Papua New guinea, Peru, Liberia and El Salvador.
- Remainder of time spent in Fort Myers fulfilling part-time junior faculty role including:
- Inpatient (minimum 2 weeks for the year)
- Outpatient (precepting residents and personal clinic)
- OB (if desired, not required)
- Global health lectures and participation in resident didactics
- Assisting with Point-of-Care Ultrasound Workshops (Fellows supplied with dedicated handheld device, no prior experience needed)
- Participating in weekly Faculty Meetings
- Schedule allows for flexibility and protected learning time for:
- Faculty/Leadership development
- Tropical medicine
- Point-of-Care Ultrasound (Fellows to be assigned a dedicated handheld device)
- Language skills
- Care of migrant farmworker population in Immokalee, Florida
- HIV / HEP C / PreP
- Mobile Health Clinic
- Opportunities for research and scholarly activity
- Time to pursue other interests related to future career goals
