Simulation

Every day new innovations come into our surgical practice, and it’s very important to practice and master all of our skills getting the best of the simulation technology and dry labs before going to the OR.

In the Surgery residency program, we focus on the development of the necessary skills to succeed in the Operating Room.  We have developed a simulation program for every resident to complete the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) and Fundamentals of Endoscopic Surgery (FES).

The surgical dry lab has an open access to all residents 24/7, we have a laparoscopic simulation station for basic skills and for mastering the FLS requirements as well as advance simulation procedures for an excelling in the operating room. The GI/ Bronchoscopy simulator delivers all the training required for easy pass of the FES examination and allows our residents real endoscopy training in real patients.

We have a partnership with many medical industry suppliers to deliver hands-on training for the most common instruments and techniques available today.  Robotic surgery has become one of the major players in the general surgery field, we have three dedicated OR with Da Vinci XI platform with a portable Simulator software available to all our residents for their use.
