Message from the Program Director

Welcome to the Advanced Head and Neck Oncology, Head and Neck Endocrine Surgery and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, offered in partnership with the Florida State University College of Medicine.
As a fellowship-trained head and neck oncologic and microvascular reconstructive surgeon, I am honored to direct a program that offers rigorous, high-volume surgical training in one of the most dynamic and rewarding fields in medicine. Our fellowship is designed to prepare surgeons to deliver care at the level of any top-tier academic institution while practicing in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Fellows in our program will gain hands-on experience across the full-spectrum of advanced head and neck surgical oncology, including Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS), complex Mohs reconstruction, microvascular free flap surgery, transoral thyroidectomy, minimally invasive thyroid nodule ablation, complex parathyroid surgery and sialoendoscopy. You will work alongside a team of highly skilled, fellowship-trained faculty who are committed to your professional growth and who will challenge you to refine your surgical technique, clinical judgment, and leadership skills.
Our setting is truly unique. Sarasota memorial is a state-of-the-art facility national recognized for excellence in patient care, while Sarasota itself offers a world-class quality of life, from award-winning beaches and year-round outdoor activities to a vibrant cultural and dining scene.
The fellowship year is intense, immersive, and transformative. You will graduate not only with exceptional surgical skills but also with the confidence and competence to lead multidisciplinary care for patients with the most complex head and neck cancers and thyroid and parathyroid pathologies.
I look forward to the opportunity to train the next generation of head and neck surgical oncologists and microvascular reconstructive surgeons, and to welcome you to Sarasota.
