Applicant Information Contact Us Message from Program Director

Our Program will combine education and service in delivering caring, evidence-based care that uses pharmacology, interventional, and psychotherapeutic approaches. Graduates will comprehend disease or mental health symptoms from a biopsychological perspective and provide considerate care. They will coordinate care and frequently work with primary care, specialists, and with therapists when needed. Research and other scholarly activities are to support this vision and prepare our graduates to pursue fellowships or a range of different clinical practices.

Our Psychiatry Residency Program shares the same mission as Florida State University College of Medicine. We train caring, skilled, and professional clinicians to provide high quality patient-centered care for the mental health needs of our community clients. Residents will learn from experienced faculty how to treat various psychiatric disorders in patients from different backgrounds and with different levels of illness severity.
