Meet the Matched

Annual meeting with the recently matched M4 students at FSU COM to learn about their match process and how the anesthesia match works! (March 2024)

Narcan Training

A volunteering event in the local community educating others about the opioid epidemic, warning signs, and overdose treatment with naloxone. This program can help students better learn the mechanism of action of a commonly used drug in the perioperative setting in addition to its implications in the community. (October 2024)

Meet with Local Program Directors

Meeting with a local Anesthesiology Program Director is an extremely valuable way to learn about the residency application process. This can give you an idea of what different programs value, the types of residents they look for, and insight on what makes medical students stand out.

High School Opioid Education

This session is a great way to get into the community and educate high school students on the risks/dangers of opioid medication. As the opioid epidemic is still a growing concern across the US, we can use our knowledge as medical students to present to high school students the mechanism of action of opioids, what causes them to become addicting, and how to treat and overdose.

Meet the Residents

Meeting with residents at various anesthesia programs can provide invaluable information regarding their opinion of the program and quality of training they are receiving.
