Message from the Program Director

Welcome, and thank you for considering our OB/GYN Residency Program. Choosing a residency is one of the most important decisions of your career, and I am excited to share what makes our program distinctive.
Our residency is community-based yet firmly backed by the resources and academic tradition of Florida State University. This unique structure allows us to combine the strengths of a supportive local medical community with the innovation and flexibility of a major university system.
We believe in training physicians who are not only clinically excellent but also adaptable, compassionate and prepared for lifelong learning. Our curriculum encourages innovation, provides room for individualized educational paths, and emphasizes work-life balance and wellness. Residents benefit from hands-on experience in diverse practice settings, close mentorship from engaged faculty and a collegial environment that fosters growth and collaboration.
Cape Coral and Fort Myers offer an inviting setting where you can pursue rigorous training while enjoying a balanced lifestyle. Our community partners are deeply invested in the program’s success, and together, we are building a culture that supports both professional excellence and personal well-being.
I encourage you to explore what we have to offer. If you are seeking a residency where you will be both challenged and supported, where innovation meets personalized training, and where wellness is valued as highly as achievement, then I believe you will feel at home here.
