Welcome to the best kept secret in family medicine residency education.  During my 25 year career I have been a Chief Resident, medical student educator, residency faculty member, Department Chief, Director of Medical Education, Designated Institutional Official, and most importantly a Program Director (at 3 different programs).  I have a lifetime of experience about what works and what doesn’t work so well in family medicine training.  

In 2020, Ascension gave me the opportunity to put this knowledge into action and build a brand new program in Walton County, Florida.  From the very beginning of this journey, my team and I have focused on creating the optimal learning environment for trainees where education, patient care, and resident well-being are equally prioritized.  We are here to help you grow not only as physicians but as human beings.  

We will mentor you professionally, encourage you to pursue interests outside of medicine, and partner with you to help us improve the training program and the care we provide to the underserved in our community.
