The Jules B. and Annie Lou Chapman Memorial Garden

The Chapman Memorial Garden will provide an enclosed space for students to rest and reflect on the humanistic practice of medicine. It will be a revitalizing space where students and faculty can relax, meditate, and recharge. The new space will connect the outside area of the medical school to the courtyard, giving a sense of seclusion and tranquility. The garden will have a sitting wall, along with plenty of natural sitting space and shade to encourage people to sit, eat lunch, or have small group meetings. There will also be a water feature that aids in the relaxing, healing nature of the space.

We hope to break ground on the garden in 2022.
