Service

In support of its education and research mission, the Center is actively involved in service at the local, state, and national level.  The following are a few Florida-specific service activities:

• Havana Health and Wellness Center:  Member of community-campus partnership that conceived and has been working to create the Havana Health and Wellness Center for Service and Excellence.  Provided leadership for needs assessment activities.

• North Florida Rural Health Workforce Development Network:  Member of inaugural network that successfully pursued HRSA Rural Health Network Grant.  Advisory role with Governing Board.

• Florida Rural Health Association Board of Directors, Chair Government Affairs Committee:  Leadership in development of advocacy activities, including web-based survey of members to identify legislative agenda.
