HOW-TO CHOOSE WHAT STYLE EMAIL YOU NEED

There are several ways to create emails. These are the following types of emails:

  • text-based
  • image-based
  • interactive-based (also known as HTML)

They all have their pros and cons. The standard, way of daily communication is usually text-based emails in paragraph form, sometimes with an attachment. You can bold essential elements, such as links, dates, and times to make them stand out to the reader, but overall visual interest is limited in text-based emails.  Conversely, a well-designed image or interactive-based email can attract more people, provide more interest, and better convey information. These email types allow you to add an image to catch the viewers’ attention and links to guide them to desired locations. These are also much easier on viewers than opening an attached PDF.  View the chart below to see some of the common pros and cons of each type of email. These will help you decide which style is right for your announcement.
