What do you like about HMSS?

The HMSS program provides me with an abundance of unique resources associated with the medical field. As a member of HMSS I have the opportunity to be mentored by upperclassman with the same goals as myself, participate in service opportunities that interest me, attend informative meetings about various topics, and become a part of a community of likeminded individuals. Most importantly the HMSS program is bringing me closer to my goal of becoming a physician.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

I want to get into medicine because I am truly passionate about the work that physicians do. Ever since I was a little boy I was fascinated by doctors and over time this interest has only grown. I want to make a difference in the lives of the people I come across and I can think of no better way to do so than to enter the medical field. I want to be the type of doctor that knows their patients on a first name basis and one who can be trusted to do things right.
