What do you like about HMSS?

The thing I love most about HMSS is the overwhelming sense of belonging. From the very first meeting, both the advisors and older scholars made me feel like I was a valuable part of the program. The academic guidance provided by our advisors has been invaluable to my college experience. I am very thankful for the opportunity that HMSS has afforded me to surround myself with like-minded individuals who are pursuing similar careers in medicine.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

My plan to pursue a career in the medical field stems from my intense passion for serving others. As a physician, I will be able to apply my love of learning to a career field that is centered around caring for and serving patients in ways that will truly make a difference in their lives. To me, pursuing a career in the medical field means striving to learn all that I can, and serving the population around me in all the ways that I am able.
