Mohamad Saad, MD, MBA, the program director the HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program, came to our campus in April to speak with our third-year students.

As part of HCA’s thriving East Florida Graduate Medical Education Division (EFD), with its over 40 programs and over 600 residents and fellows, the internal residency program and each of the residents will benefit from the expertise and resources HCA and EFD make available to everyone of its learners. It is a new residency program for Lawnwood, and this hospital also has a General Surgery program. Over the next couple of years, several additional programs in a variety of specialties will be added.

Lawnwood Hospital’s residency programs serve a diverse patient population with a very broad range of pathology. They strive to espouse academic and administrative excellence during their ambitious day to day operation. Their robust didactic curriculum offers a broad array of conferences, small group learning, interactive learning activities, and simulation-based training across the full spectrum of medical specialties.
