Significantly reduced opioid usage found during Flynn survey
Heather Flynn, chair of the Department of Behavioral Science and Social Medicine, published a survey regarding Florida's medical cannabis program. The survey involved patients reporting a drop or elimination in opioid usage after beginning cannabis treatment.
The results were much better than initially anticipated, and a further in-depth, longitudinal study is the next step.
