Sylvie Naar, Ph.D., director of the Center for Translational Science, was awarded a $24,800 Digital Health LaunchPad grant for her project, “Optimizing De-Identification and Data Utility in Mental Health Progress Notes Using Large Language Models.”

This one-year pilot project will explore how large language models can be used to enhance both privacy and data quality in mental health records. Naar will provide progress updates throughout the project and for up to two years after its conclusion.
