The Florida Behavioral Health Impact, in partnership with Aetna Better Health of Florida, hosted a specialized training session on managing depression during pregnancy led by Kay Roussos-Ross, M.D.

The session offers an evidence-based overview of evaluating, screening and managing perinatal depression. The training aims to improve patient outcomes through timely identification and appropriate clinical care.

Participants will learn to identify risk factors and the incidence of perinatal depression, as well as the potential consequences of leaving mood disorders untreated during pregnancy. The curriculum also covers effective screening techniques and the benefits and risks associated with psychotropic medication use for expectant mothers.

Interested individuals can find more information on upcoming trainings and available resources by visiting the Florida BH IMPACT website.
