This workshop offers practical strategies to help family caregivers balance self-care with supporting loved ones living with dementia.

Family Therapist Linda Miles, Ph.D., and Pastor Brett Cooper share easy-to-use techniques to promote caregiver well-being, including deep breathing, meditation and emotional regulation. They also offer strategies for observing and listening, creating opportunities for humor and thinking outside the box.

ACTS2 Project Coordinator Tomeka Norton-Brown provides information about caregiver skills-building and support, along with community-based resources for dementia care.

Elder care professionals, current and future caregivers, and other interested community members are encouraged to view the workshop and learn practical strategies for supporting both caregivers and their loved ones.
