DEaR Lab Researchers Win Top Prize for Research at 2025 NF Conference

The DEaR Lab team, Professor Yang Hou, Ph.D., and Postdoctoral Scholars Dan Liu, Liyan Yu, and Matt Jamnik, presented seven research projects at the 2025 Neurofibromatosis (NF) Conference in Washington, D.C. Their contributions included one platform talk by Hou and six poster presentations covering ADHD, academic and language skills, cognitive function, and mental health symptoms in individuals with NF1.
A highlight of the conference was Matt Jamnik’s poster, “Cognitive Function in Middle-Aged and Older Adults with Neurofibromatosis Type 1: Exploring Psychosocial Predictors,” which won first place in the poster competition. As part of the honor, Jamnik was invited to deliver a plenary oral presentation in the main conference hall.
The DEaR Lab is proud to contribute to advancing research and clinical understanding of NF1 and to share findings that support individuals living with the condition.
