Celebrating Innovation at the BSSM 2nd Annual Postdoctoral Research Day

The Department of Behavioral Sciences and Social Medicine (BSSM) just wrapped up its second annual Postdoctoral Research Day, and the energy in the room was nothing short of inspiring. 

Our postdoctoral fellows are tackling some of the most pressing challenges we face in health and community well‑being and working toward interventions that strengthen human flourishing. Their work isn’t just academically rigorous; it’s deeply impactful. Each project showcased reflects a commitment to improving lives. 

Nicole Ennis, Ph.D., Program Director, captured the spirit of the day perfectly “It is a joy to see the success of our postdoctoral fellowship ecosystem and the vibrant young talent we are nurturing here at FSU.” Moments like these remind us why investing in early‑career scholars matters. Their curiosity, drive, and compassion are building the foundation for tomorrow’s breakthroughs. Here’s to our fellows and to many more years of transformative research at BSSM.
