What do you like about HMSS?

In HMSS I have enjoyed growing into a community of scholars that are all interested in bettering the human condition through applied science. Having the privilege to interact with established medical professionals from various fields has broadened my perspective on the health care field as a whole. I have cherished the opportunity to make lifelong connections with bright individuals from a wide array of backgrounds.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

I want to spend my life making a difference in the world by combining my love of science and research with my sincere desire to serve those in the greatest need. I am specifically drawn to becoming a physician by the unique opportunity to build strong relationships with families and communities in a primary care setting. I want to be able to contribute to the health of my community by practicing primary prevention in an effort to avoid diseases before they start.
