FSU expert available to comment for Alzheimer’s Awareness Month
November is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, a time to recognize the profound impact this disease has on individuals, families, and communities. Nearly 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, and one in three seniors dies from Alzheimer’s or another dementia. While there is still no cure, emerging research on resilience and brain function is revealing important insights into risk factors and disease progression.
Angelina Sutin, Ph.D., is helping lead this effort. Her work is shedding light on the pathways that influence dementia risk, and she is available to speak with the media about her research and what it suggests for promoting healthier brain aging.
