This highly competitive program is open to a limited number of graduating high school students.
The program seeks candidates who fit the Honors Medical Scholars Program mission and the mission of the FSU College of Medicine. Competitive candidates will have a record of high academic ability, a heart for service, and a sincere concern for vulnerable populations through volunteering. Some exposure and experience in healthcare and health-related settings is recommended. Candidates are selected for an interview for the Honors Medical Scholars Program after they have completed the application process detailed below.

NOTE: The Honors Medical Scholars 2020 application will be available after FSU Admission decisions are released in January. The Honors Medical Scholars Program application is online via the FSU Honors Program website (honors.fsu.edu) on the online application system Fluid Review. All application materials including letters of recommendation must be submitted via Fluid Review by the deadline.
THINK AHEAD! Incomplete and late applications will not be considered.
Three (3) Letters of Recommendation are required before you can submit your application.
- Full Application Deadline: All application materials, including three (3) letters of recommendation, must be completed and uploaded by midnight (11:59 PM) Tuesday, February 18, 2020.
- Applications cannot be submitted until all letters are uploaded. Missing letters will prevent you from submitting your application.
- All correspondence regarding applications and letters will come from Fluid Review, not FSU.
- Contact your letter writers and let them know to expect an email from Fluid Review (not FSU) requesting to upload your letter of recommendation through the site.
