Valentine’s Day Soiree
The Valentine’s Day Soiree will feature the world-famous Davis Gaines performing "Broadway and Beyond" on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the University Club Center from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. Valentine Day guests will be treated to a cocktail hour (open bar selections), a champagne toast before dinner, a chef inspired Valentine's Day dinner, a one hour performance of Davis Gaines singing Broadway Show pieces and a rose for every lady in attendance. The new Valentine's Day Soiree promises to be Tallahassee's premier Valentine’s Day event. All proceeds benefit the FSU College of Medicine and TMH HealthCare Dystonia Research Program.
Previously called “Curtains for a Cause,” the newly-named “Valentine’s Day Soiree” will feature world-famous David Gaines in “Broadway and Beyond”. Mr. Gaines is widely known to audiences for over 2,000 performances of the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Phantom of the Opera” on Broadway, in Los Angeles (L.A.’s longest running Phantom) and in San Francisco (where he received the Bay Area Critics’ Award for Best Actor). “Gaines is a breathtaking concert artist, strong yet nuanced. The way he can express great tenderness one moment, great power the next, seems little short of miraculous.” New York Post. We are also proud to say Mr. Gaines is a graduate of the FSU School of Theatre, an inductee into the FSU Circle of Gold and 1990 Grad Made Good. Mr. Gaines established the “Davis Gaines Endowed Scholarship” in Music Theatre for FSU students to attain the same goals and dreams that he has accomplished in his career. See Davis Gaines as he sings ‘Music of the Night’ at Jerry Buss Memorial online here.
All proceeds from the Valentine’s Day Soiree benefit the FSU College of Medicine and Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Dystonia Research Program.
