Breast Cancer Awareness Panel
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the American Medical Women’s Association will be hosting a panel of breast cancer patients and a physician. Please join us for a discussion with a breast surgical oncologist from Tampa’s Moffitt Cancer Center, two patients (in various stages of battling the disease), and a patient preventatively diagnosed with a breast cancer mutation. Each will offer insights into diagnosis such as hereditary components, treatment, and prognosis including how they intersect with race. They also will share the emotional and mental implications of going through/supporting someone undergoing breast cancer treatment.
This will be a virtual event held via Zoom on October 28th from approximately 7-8 p.m. ET.
