Alzheimer's Education and Training Conference
Please join the Alzheimer’s Project, Inc. for our 32nd Annual Alzheimer’s Disease Education and Training Conference! The event will be held on February 18th, 2017 from 8:00am-3:00pm at the Florida State University College of Medicine.
This will be a day to educate the community about Alzheimer’s disease awareness, research, statistics, and vital coping skills when caring for a loved one with the disease. Professionals and caregivers alike are greeted by guest speakers from various professional backgrounds to discuss this debilitating disease and related disorders. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Ken Brummel-Smith presenting on Person-Centered Care. Informational sessions held in the morning, followed by a healthy lunch then sessions continuing in the afternoon.
This year’s conference is presented in partnership with the Florida State University College of Medicine along with Tallahassee Memorial NeuroScience Center and Memory Disorder Clinic, Pilot Club of Tallahassee, Florida Health Care Association, and Area Agency on Aging for North Florida. Our program for both family caregivers and professionals features outstanding guest speakers, great workshops, and informative exhibits showcasing local resources and service providers.
CEs will be available for $25, payable at the event provided by Florida Health Care Association.
