Ariella Price

Class of 2018

Hometown: Delray Beach, Fla.
Undergraduate Degree: Florida State University

Ariella graduated magna cum laude from Florida State University in May 2013. She received her B.S. in biological sciences with a minor in Italian. Ariella enthusiastically started her undergraduate career at FSU playing the baritone as a Marching Chief. She was active on campus as the volunteer chair for the Minority Association of Pre-medical Students (MAPS) and the student coordinator for Undergraduate SSTRIDE. Off-campus extracurricular activities were spent volunteering at the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital pediatric unit and for Big Bend Hospice. In addition to her leadership roles and volunteering, Ariella worked as a mentor for the FSU College of Medicine SSTRIDE outreach program for high school students. During her junior year, she was fortunate to receive a scholarship from the College of Medicine to become a certified phlebotomist and EKG technician. Once certified, Ariella secured an internship with a local internist and pediatrician. Post-graduation, she fulfilled her desire to travel by living in Italy for three months to work on her lingual skills. Upon her return to the States she gained tremendous medical and business experience working as a certified medical assistant under a board-certified internist. The FSU College of Medicine was her first choice for medical school because of its passionate mission to deliver the finest, patient-centered care to underserved communities and for its reputation for having “happy” medical students.
