The 2022 American Medical Woman’s Association Region 4 Conference, Caring with Compassion, at the Florida State University College of Medicine will provide an excellent forum for networking and connecting with professionals and students alike; exchanging knowledge and tools to encourage exceptional, patient-centered healthcare. There will be many exciting events throughout the day, such as speakers, suture and IUD clinics, and a poster presentation session.

Parking
Parking for the conference is available at the Spirit Way Garage (1122 Spirit Way, Tallahassee, FL 32304). This map shows the walking route from the garage to the College of Medicine (1115 W Call St, Tallahassee, FL 32304). Upon exiting the garage, walk straight past the King Life Sciences Building on your left, up the stairs, and veer left toward the College Of Medicine.
We have reserved a block of rooms for Friday (10/21/22) and Saturday (10/22/22) night at the AC Hotel in Tallahassee, near the Cascades park. The address is 801 South Gadsden St, Tallahassee, FL 32304. When making your reservation, please identify yourself as part of the “Florida State University College of Medicine group.”

Please note, abstract submissions are not considered complete until you have purchased tickets.
Complete abstract submission guidelines can be found in the submission form below. We invite abstracts that fall under the categories of:
- Research (bench)
- Quality Improvement or Innovation
- Clinical case reports.
The deadline for abstract submission is Friday, September 30th, by 5 pm EST. You will be notified of the decision on your abstract by Monday, October 3rd. If selected, you will be invited to present a poster at the conference. If you do not have any research to submit, you are still welcome to purchase a ticket and attend. Please feel free to email if you have additional questions or technical difficulties with either form. We look forward to seeing you there!
Research topics are not limited to the following, but research that aligns with AMWA’s priority topics is especially encouraged and will be graded as such. These include:
- Sex and Gender-Specific Medicine
- Technology and Innovation
- Gender Equity
- Work-Life issues (including Physician Infertility)
- Physician Wellness & Burnout (including Medical Humanities)
- Public Health Initiatives: Gun Violence Prevention, Opioid Addiction / Pain Management, Human Trafficking, Obesity, Cervical Cancer Eradication, and Woman’s Health
- Medical Education and Training
