Dr. Shermeeka Hogans-Mathews, Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Rural Health, has been accepted into the 2022 Florida Academy of Family Physicians Leadership Academy. The 2022 FAFP Leadership Academy (FAFP-LA) will take place on Friday, April 8, during the 2022 Spring CME Forum in Orlando at the Hilton Bonnet Creek (April 7-10). Participants will experience a 6+ hour version of The Leadership Challenge Workshop, an evidence-based exploration of the 30 behaviors that describe exemplary leaders during the one-day workshop. The program is based on many years of study by leadership researchers Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner and is one of the most-used leadership models in use by organizations worldwide.
