YACHT Team on Enhancing HIV Testing and PrEP Referrals
Members of the Young Adult Centered HealthForce Training (YACHT) team including Rebecca Giguere, MPH, Ivan Balan, Ph.D., Andrea Chesure, Sara Green, MSW, Jonathan Morgan, Sylvie Naar Ph.D., and colleagues’ have authored a manuscript titled “Young Adult Centered HealthForce Training to Increase HIV Testing and Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) Referrals among Young Sexual Minority Men in Florida: Protocol for a Type 2 Implementation-Effectiveness Hybrid Trial with a Stepped Wedge Design” that has been accepted for publication in JMIR Research Protocols.
The YACHT program focuses on providing developmentally sensitive, culturally appropriate, and evidence-based counseling, testing and referral (CTR) services for young sexual minority men. This study evaluates whether the YACHT approach enhances HIV testing rates and adherence to evidence-based CTR practices.
