Dr. Michael Nair-Collins hosted Visiting Scholar Piotr Nowak, PhD for two weeks in February. Dr. Piotr Nowak is from the Institute of Philosophy, Jagiellonian University, in Kraków, Poland. Drs. Nair-Collins and Nowak collaborated on issues related to brain death during the visit. On February 13, 2019 Visiting Scholar Dr. Piotr Nowak presented the lecture, “The Death of an Organism vs. Death as an Irreversible Loss of a Human’s Moral Status”.
