College of Medicine

Drs. Yolany Hyde and George Rust each received a 2022 Leadership Award at the recent Student Organizations and Involvement Awards Ceremony.

Dr. Hyde was recognized as the Advisor of the Year for her work with the College of Medicine Latino Medical Student Association, which also was recognized with a Artes Award given annually to a student organization that demonstrates commitment towards civic education at FSU or the surrounding community and works to promote discourse within the FSU community.

Dr. Rust received the Faculty/Staff Seminole Award for his work in primary health care and community health centered around those in greatest need, the elimination of health disparities, and on charting a path to health equity.
