Toffler Scholar Program
The 2026 application cycle is open.
Application Deadline: April 13, 2026
Overview
The Toffler Scholar Program was created by the Trustees of the Karen Toffler Charitable Trust, a 501 C3 nonprofit foundation focused on early-stage research that advances the medical field in profound, high-impact ways. Tapping into the deep legacy of their founders, best-selling authors and futurists, Alvin and Heidi Toffler, the trust exists to be a catalyst for future-focused breakthroughs.
The Toffler Scholar Grant supports exceptional early-career researchers pursuing bold, interdisciplinary work that advances our understanding of the brain and improves human health. The program invests in scientists (PHD candidates, Post Doc, Assistant Professors) whose innovative ideas have the potential to drive transformative breakthroughs but may fall outside traditional funding pathways. Applications are evaluated on alignment with KTCT’s mission, the applicant’s growth potential, scientific rigor, translational promise, innovation, and evidence of a strong, supportive research environment. Non-US Citizens with a valid US visa are eligible to apply.
