What do you like about HMSS?

I enjoy the close-knit community of HMSS. Being a part of a group of individuals who share similar interests and aspirations has provided me with a sense of community, which has made my transition to college a wonderful experience. I treasure the friendships I have made so far with fellow Honors Medical Scholars and I am excited to get to know everyone in the program more.

 

Why do you want to go into medicine?

I initially became interested in the medical field through my love for science classes, in particular biology and psychology. Beyond the classroom, I was able to have meaningful interactions with patients and physicians through volunteering at the VA Hospital, which solidified my desire to pursue medicine in order to help others.
