What do you like about HMSS?

Honors Medical Scholars has already helped me form a tight-knit group of likeminded scholars whom I can rely on to be another group of friendly faces on campus. I have come to learn that the resources that HMS provides for us, including advising, abundant volunteer service opportunities, and opportunities to participate in seminars, are invaluable and help us keep ourselves focused along our journeys.

 

Why do you want to go into medicine?

Medicine has always been an attractive field to me because I am able to mold my love for service, interest in the art of the human body, and curiosity for the mechanics of life into one career path. More than this, I want to go into medicine because I want to give back to the community I was raised in, do more to prevent avoidable chronic diseases, and learn to treat those who need it the most.
