What do you like about HMSS?

Initially coming to FSU I was worried about getting lost in such a big school. But, one great part about HMSS is that it provides you with an awesome group of people that make a big school seem smaller. The sense of community that this society creates has helped make the transition to FSU smoother and more enjoyable. It is also great to be surrounded by individuals who share the same dream and are progressing through a similar academic track as I am. This group of students contains some of the brightest and most passionate people that I have ever met and I am thankful to be a part of it.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

I want to go into medicine so that I can use my passion to help those in need. Assisting those who cannot help themselves or are less fortunate would be an incredible way to combine my heart for service and my love of science. Whether I practice medicine in the United States or as a part of missions in a foreign country, I plan on making a difference wherever I am.
