What do you like about HMSS?

I love how HMSS is a big support system. It is really beneficial to have guidance from older students and advisors at the COM. HMSS also provides some great service and research opportunities, as well as social opportunities that introduce us to like-minded students.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

I have always wanted to do something worthwhile, but I didn’t know that I would pursue medicine until a few years ago. From shadowing a physician in Pensacola, I learned that this is a career that is able to combine service and science into a profession. I like how medicine is continually changing and challenging physicians to learn more while allowing them to serve people in areas that they are interested.
