Dr. Batchelor has been instrumental in developing one of the most advanced and innovative interventional cardiology and structural heart programs in Florida. He was the first physician in the region to perform transradial percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and has promoted this technique for over 20 years. With over 5,000 radial PCI cases performed to date, he is one of the country's highest volume radial PCI experts and has given numerous instructional courses and lectures on this technique. In 2011, he helped develop North Florida’s first Structural Heart Program and shortly thereafter performed the region’s first percutaneous mitraclip mitral valve repair and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedures. He is approaching nearly 400 combined TAVR/mitraclip cases.
