The Department of Geriatrics is pleased to announce that Dr. Casey Rust has recently been awarded a Geriatric Academic Career Award from the Health Resource and Services Administration (HRSA). This prestigious four-year award will allow Dr. Rust to acquire new educational and research skills while advancing programs designed to improve geriatrics education for students and interprofessional teams in the nursing home. This career advancement award is one of only 26 given out this year by HRSA and is a testament to Dr. Rust’s already proven track record as a clinician, teacher, and investigator.
