Dr. Kerwyn Flowers Accepted Into 42nd UNC Faculty Development Fellowship Class

Assistant Professor, Kerwyn Flowers, DO, will participate in The University of North Carolina (UNC) Faculty Development Fellowship. This is an intensive experience that includes 6 weeks in residence in Chapel Hill, NC, spread over the course of the year. Led by a Board-Certified Family Physicians in collaboration with other qualified professionals, the Faculty Development Fellowship team includes physician leaders with decades of experience in clinical practice, research, and teaching, as well as a Psychologist who specializes in leadership and educational strategies. The curriculum is based on a year-long blended learning experience that includes face-to-face sessions in Chapel Hill, as well as online modules, forums, and group projects. It has three major components: 1) Leadership, 2) Teaching and Learning, and 3) Scholarship. Over the last 40 years, the fellowship has graduated over 500 physicians who have gone on as leaders within the discipline of family medicine.
