Blackburn Chapter on Strengthening Public Health-Academia Partnerships

Faculty member Claudia Blackburn, M.P.H., along with collaborators Leslie Beitsch, M.D., J.D., and RoseAnn Scheck, have recently made significant contributions to the textbook Academic Health Department Partnerships: Bridging the Gap Between Town and Gown.
Their work appears in Chapter 7, titled "An Evolving Tri-Partite Model in Leon County, Florida: Building An Academic Health Department Model With A Public Health Department and Two Universities."
This book provides valuable insights into creating and sustaining partnerships between public health agencies and academic institutions, offering practical examples, strategies, and a working model designed to strengthen public health capacity and improve community health.
