Multiple Tenure Track Open Rank Professor Positions in Biomedical Sciences

Hand drawing on a black chalkboard with white chalk. Text says "We're Hiring."

The Department of Biomedical Sciences at the Florida State University College of Medicine is in an expansion phase. We are actively seeking exceptional faculty members at all career stages to join us and be a part of our bright future.

Florida State University is a Carnegie Research 1 university in Tallahassee, the capital of Florida. It is ranked among the top 25 US public universities by the US News and World Report. The Department has a robust research portfolio encompassing cellular, molecular, and behavioral sciences. The research expenditures of the College of Medicine have doubled in the last 4 years and continue to rise. The University is initiating FSUHealth, a research collaboration between FSU and nearby health care institutions.

The successful candidates will have a PhD and/or MD, a proven track record of excellence in creative approaches to cutting edge interdisciplinary/collaborative research, and a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching and service. Preference will be given to applicants with evidence of successful extramurally funded research programs in infectious diseases, genomics, or neurosciences; however, leading scientists in all fields will be considered. Cluster or team hires are possible. Opportunities for outpatient clinical practice and human subjects research are available. Excellent mentoring and teaching skills are highly valued, as critical contributors to our mission of training the next generation of healthcare professionals and scientists. Our educational mission includes graduate, medical, physician assistant, and undergraduate education.
