M.D. Class of '25 has 24 selected for Alpha Omega Alpha induction

Twenty-four members of M.D. Class of 2025 have been selected for induction into the Delta Chapter of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society at the Florida State University College of Medicine.

Criteria for nomination includes, but is not limited to, scholastic achievement, demonstrated professionalism, leadership capabilities, adherence to ethical standards, fairness in dealing with colleagues, achievement in medicine and/or research, and a record of service to community. Applications are reviewed in a blinded fashion by the AOA Selection Committee.

“We are incredibly excited for this group of high-achieving students and commend all students who applied for this honor,” said Professor Nate Falk, M.D. assistant dean for Graduate Medical Education and AOA faculty advisor. “Please help me in congratulating the group! We look forward to honoring them at an event this spring.”

Selected for membership from the class are Andy Asher, Taylor Blount, Paul Borgman, Rachel Cathey, Luis Cervera, Claudia Cruz Garcia, Joshua Davis, Sean Gabany, David Gorelov, William Hixson, Anwar Khan, Gabrielle Kirshteyn, Alexandra Mackey, Omar Mahboob, Liam McLoughlin, Charissa Obeng-Nyarko, Madison Patrick, McKenzie Seitz, Shwetha Shetty, Sally Stauder, Anthony Thompson, Alexandria Tolbert, Dayita Wable and Riann White.

Founded in 1902, the AOA Honor Medical Society is dedicated to the belief that in the profession of medicine, care for all will be improved by recognizing high educational achievement; honoring gifted teaching; encouraging the development of leaders in academia and the community; supporting the ideals of humanism; and promoting service to others.
