Ms. Ericka Horne wins 1st Place in the Graduate Student Division for Clinical Research competition
On Wednesday, October 25th, Ms. Ericka Horne participated in the 2023 FAMU Student Research Forum sponsored by AbbVie Inc. - A Biopharmaceutical Company. With the support of her research mentor, Carlos Reyes-Ortiz, MD, PhD, her poster, “Disparities on Adverse Childhood Experiences and Health Outcomes by Ethnicity in Florida, comparing 2019 and 2020 BRFSS Data”, won 1st Place in the Graduate Student Division for Clinical Research. The research forum is annual event that provides students with an opportunity to share their research in areas including Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, Clinical Research and Life Sciences at the undergraduate and graduate student levels. Ms. Horne is a fourth-year Doctor of Public Health Student with a focus in Behavioral Science and Health Education.
