   WELL, WELL, WELL-BEING!

We recognize the needs fellows face as they juggle education, patient care, and physical and emotional well-being. Our program is dedicated to fostering a community culture among our program and clinic staff that encourages resilience and a sense of purpose and joy in our work.

We create multiple opportunities for our residents to individually and collectively keep their reservoirs as full as possible in order to be ready for the inevitable challenges of life and residency that deplete our wellbeing. The curriculum has multiple components including didactic sessions covering six elements of wellness: Physical, Professional, Financial, Social, Emotional, and Spiritual. We have resident support groups, quarterly resident team building activities, faculty-resident retreats, staff appreciation luncheons, clinic wide holiday celebrations, and a committee that includes faculty and resident champions of well-being.

We are confident in the effectiveness of our curriculum to develop highly skilled family medicine physicians, and we are deeply committed to incorporating wellness as a vital aspect of this journey.
