13th Annual Research Fair
Mark your calendars! Learn about research being done at the College of Medicine and meet the faculty and student researchers making it happen.
The Research Fair provides the opportunity to see the kinds of research happening in the College of Medicine and get ideas on potential summer research opportunities. Posters will be displayed throughout the day, with researchers at their posters from Noon to 1:30pm to describe their projects and answer questions.
Register to Present Your Research – Medical and graduate students, postdocs, and faculty from both the main and regional campuses are encouraged to participate. If you are interested in presenting a poster on your research, please register through the Research Fair Registration Site by January 30, 2017.
The Summer Research Fellowship program allows for medical students to participate in research with the assistance of a faculty mentor. Medical students wishing to participate in the Summer Research Fellowship program are required to submit a research proposal in order to be considered for a $4,000 award. If you are interested in applying, we strongly encourage you to begin by reaching out to faculty within your area of research interest either before or as a result of attending the Research Fair to identify a mentor. To apply, write a proposal of no more than four pages with assistance from the faculty mentor you have identified. Guidelines for successful proposals can be found here. Research proposals are due by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017. You may email your proposal to research@med.fsu.edu or drop it off at the Office of Research Administration (Med-RA) in MSR 1309 (research building).
